Nathan Jones

Nathan Jones, founder and project manager at North By West Construction Inc., brings over three decades of hands-on experience in the construction industry. Born in Los Angeles, California, Nathan spent his formative years on a ranch in San Luis Obispo County. His early exposure to construction came through his father, a career electrician, under whom Nathan began working as an apprentice during his summers, learning the intricacies of electrical work.

Throughout his career, Nathan has honed a diverse skill set encompassing framing, finish carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and tile setting. His extensive field experience naturally progressed into roles in site and project management, as well as estimating. This comprehensive background laid the foundation for the establishment of North By West Construction.

Under Nathan's leadership, North By West Construction has become a leading general contractor in the Bay Area, specializing in high-end custom residential projects, including new builds, additions, remodels, kitchens, baths, and historic restorations. The company's philosophy centers on delivering quality workmanship, maintaining transparency, and ensuring efficiency throughout the construction process. Nathan emphasizes the importance of client satisfaction, often working directly with homeowners and collaborating closely with architects, designers, and engineers to bring clients' visions to life.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Nathan enjoys photography, hiking in the Sierras, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing and traveling, activities that reflect his enduring connection to the natural environment.

Office Staff

Our office staff is comprised of professionals that are dedicated to making your experience with North By West Construction a pleasant one from beginning to end. Nathan’s daughter, Lyric, is a second generation staffer, who oversees payroll and other office responsibilities.

Field Staff

North By West Construction is fully staffed with highly skilled with laborers, apprentices, journeymen carpenters, and site supervisors
